I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
We received some exciting news in the past couple of weeks that two Italians have begun the process to join the staff of Agape in Rome. Matteo and Andrea (pictured above) are both from a church in the San Lorenzo neighborhood that we have worked closely with over the years. This is really exciting for Kimberly and I because part of the reason we felt called to come back to the USA is that we felt like our absence would create space for locals to step in and begin taking over the ministry. It is exciting to see faith filled Italians see the need and respond "yes". Just as Paul's vision of apostolic ministry was a team effort, we see God using a team of people to reach Italy with the gospel. Some crazy Americans may have planted the seed, but we are thankful for the news that more and more Italians are beginning to water and plant their own seeds, and we trust together in God who will give the growth.
Another exciting news we have heard is new staff member, Giosue Petrone, who will serve in Florence, Italy making films to show all across Italy, has reached full support so that he can start working full-time in his ministry. We are really excited for Giosue and for the impact his ministry will have all across Italy. Check our one of his short films "Moffino" by clicking here. With ironic humor, Giosue tries to use the short film to deeper conversation about how basing your personal perception on something that is not true can prove to be harmful to yourself.
