At the end of our ministry year, we take the opportunity to evaluate how things have gone for us as a team, and how we can continue to honor God with the ministry He has entrusted to us. It was an exciting year as we were celebrating new lives in Christ, disciples walking in freedom in Christ, and leaders who are being mobilized to serve God’s kingdom in New York City.
We are continuing to develop our idea of Connect Spaces. Our team has moved toward defining these spaces that are intentionally created by a believer to bring their unchurched or dechurched friends in their life. In essence, bringing the church and the world together. We want to continue to challenge millennials connected to our ministry to be reaching out into their relational networks to share Christ in meaningful ways. A new idea we want to try is to create seminar like spaces that would bring believers and non-believers together because the topic is relevant. Sam, as part of a project for a seminary class, has written one of these seminars on the topic of burnout. You can continue to pray as we write and design the content, and promote it for the Fall.
We left the three days together with our team, grateful for what God has done to disperse us into various spaces in the city to be doing evangelism and discipleship amongst twenty somethings. Even as our team has experienced challenges to this end, we are grateful that God continues to encourage us and gives us new ideas as we seek to be faithful to our callings as missionaries in NYC.
